Every day millions of us pick up the phone to order our favourite takeaway. But how much do we know about the food we're eating, or about the country from which it comes? In this series, instead of the usual delivery man, our presenter and a TV crew turn up to drop off the order and ask the hungry diners some questions about their selections. Then they are whisked off to visit the country in question.

For three days, our takeaway fans are thrown into the culture of their favourite takeaway. They'll shop for ingredients, source them in the wild, and do jobs the locals do. In the end, they'll have to prepare a meal for an expert from scratch to see what they have learned in their crash course in culture.

Part travel show, part cookery show, part reality, Take Away My Takeaway is all adventure!
