Lucrezia Borgia 3D - World's first 3D live opera

In a world first Donizetti's rarely seen opera Lucrezia Borgia was performed by the ENO on 23 February 2011 and brought to screen with a live broadcast on Sky Arts 2 (HD), Sky 3D int eh UK and Germany and live into selected cinemas in 3D nationwide.
Directed by multi-talented artist and film-maker Mike Figgis, best-known for films such as the Oscar-winning 'Leaving Las Vegas' and making his operatic debut with this new production, Lucrezia Borgia follows the complex relationship between a mother and her illegitimate son, exploring the brutal nature of Machiavellian politics and the struggle for power.
Paul Daniel conducts a stellar cast including Claire Rutter as Lucrezia Borgia, Michael Fabiano as Gennaro and British bass Alastair Miles in the role of Alfonso d'Este.
