Todd Austin
Todd Austin joined Prospect Pictures in 2007, shortly after the company became part of DCD Media. Todd has since masterminded Prospect's expansion into major primetime programming such as the feature documentary THE ROAD TO GLORY for BBC Films, FIX MY FAT HEAD for BBC One, RAF AT 90 for BBC Two and DO IT YOURSELF: THE STORY OF ROUGH TRADE for BBC Four. Other projects include the 6-part series MY HOLIDAY HOSTAGE HELL for Virgin 1, a 10-part MY BRILLIANT BRITAIN series for UKTV's Blighty channel and the light-hearted I'M KYLIE'S BODY DOUBLE for BBC Three.
Previously Todd was Series Editor of BBC One's flagship documentary strand ONE LIFE. He commissioned and executive produced over 60 ONE LIFE films and has won several awards, including RTS and BAFTA.
Todd's career began at the BBC in 1988 when he worked in Drama as an Assistant Producer. He worked on feature films such as TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY and RICHARD THE THIRD and then moved into documentaries, directing films for Channel 4 as well as producing films at the BBC for INSIDE STORY and MODERN TIMES.
As Executive Producer he was also responsible for films such as THE BOY CAN'T HELP IT, NAP ATTACK, NINE DAYS THAT SHOOK LONDON and LITTLE BRITAIN'S BIG SWIM which followed David Walliams' attempt to swim across the English Channel.
